Here are some helpful tips to maximize your meditation experience:

  1. There is no wrong way to meditate; let go of any judgments.
  2. Being comfortable is key, so whatever position works best for you is the right one, although we don't suggest lying down, as the body often defaults to sleep mode.
  3. When you become aware of thoughts, just let them go, without judgment, without analysis.
  4. You may hear noises, such as others moving around, a ringing phone, traffic outside - all are part of our world and therefore part of the meditation - just notice and let it go.
  5. It's helpful to meditate at approximately the same time every day, and if possible, soon after arising helps to create optimum daily energy; if that isn't possible, meditate whenever you find a time where you can sit undisturbed.
  6. We ask that you create the intention of a group meditation, regardless of the time of daily individual meditation; this activates & increases the power of the meditation exponentially for all.

"Find a quiet place that feels safe for you, one where you won't be interrupted and gently allow your eyes to close. Rest for a few minutes allowing yourself to become at one with the rhythm of your breath, noticing how your energy settles naturally when you do so. Invite yourself to relax. You have no place to go, nothing to do, just be here now. Use your breath as a way to slow down and ground yourself.

Breath in...Breath out...
Breath in...Breath out..."

"What I Know to Be True opens a door that's normally closed."     ~Lily Siegel, Fairfield, CT
